Job Description

Reports to Director of Services

As Research Manager, you will manage market forecast services; duties include creating project plans and schedules, monitoring status, overseeing team members’ work, documenting processes and methodology and ensuring they are followed, troubleshooting, and maintaining integrity of data. You will work as part of a team and report to Director of Services.

Other duties include conducting research on equipment manufacturers, service providers, and end-users of various data networking and telecommunications technologies, and hands-on work in Excel and Word files.

This position carries increasing responsibility for development of research processes, services, and methodology.

Qualifications

This full-time, permanent position requires a BA/BS (preferably in market research, economics, sociology, or statistics) and:
  • 4+ years of experience as a market research project manager with proven expertise in detailed schedule management
  • Organization, flexibility, and ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • Enthusiasm for detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTable, macros, functions)
  • Proficiency in Excel 2003 a must; knowledge of Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Market analysis and forecasting methodology expertise
  • Expert analytic, logic, and quantitative skills
  • Polished, clear written and oral communication; must have strong English language skills
  • Experience in survey research (questionnaire design, SPSS or SAS) is a plus
  • Understanding of communications technologies, vendors, service providers, products, services, and market trends is a plus

Job Description

As Research Analyst II and Data Analyst, you will work as part of a team on market research services, assisting industry analysts in covering technology and market trends through primary and secondary research. This includes research on equipment manufacturer, service provider, and end-user plans and requirements for various communications technologies (e.g., mobile, wireless, broadband, video, optical, security, VoIP, microwave). Duties include advanced Excel tasks, file management, data analysis, web research, data entry, and creating and formatting charts. You will work as part of a team and report to Research Manager.

Qualifications

This full-time, permanent position requires a BA/BS (preferably in market research, economics, sociology, or statistics) and:
  • 4+ years of hands-on work experience using Microsoft Excel; must have advanced skills (e.g., PivotTable, macros, functions); VB experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel 2003 a must; knowledge of Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 a plus
  • Expert analytic, logic, and quantitative skills
  • Affinity for hunting down data issues and figuring out efficient, elegant solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Polished, clear written and oral communication; must have strong English language skills
  • Enthusiasm for detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Organization, flexibility, and ability to juggle multiple projects on tight deadlines

   MARKETING ASSISTANT

Job Overview

Infonetics’ marketing team is looking for a proficient assistant who is great at multi-tasking and knows how to continually shift priorities to get tasks done in a very fast-paced environment. We work as a team but you need to be self-motivated to keep your items going and to meet rapid deadlines.


The purpose of this position is to offload the busy marketing department. There is definitely room for growth in this position, depending on skillset, desire, and how fast you learn.


Most of what we’ll ask you to do can be taught OTJ, but it’d be helpful if you have at least some experience with all or some of these programs, in order of importance:


  • MS Word
  • Outlook
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • MS Excel
  • HTML
  • XML
  • MS PPT
  • Adobe InDesign

All of what you will do supports Infonetics’ marketing and sales efforts, via marketing communications, sales tools, public relations activities, and, depending on your background, social media. We all wear many hats here and are very flexible, filling in as needed. The most critical roles for this position currently include:

Digital Marketing Communications

  • Modify documents in Word and Excel, then PDF and upload them to Infonetics’ online portal for clients and prospects (such as report tables of contents)

Public Relations

  • PDF press releases / report highlights from Word, then upload them to Infonetics’ online portal for clients, prospects and the media

Scheduling and Planning

  • Schedule analyst conference calls with clients, send reminders
  • Assist with internal marketing and PR campaign scheduling

Website and Client Service Portal

  • Update database-driven website and portal, such as adding report publication dates (using basic HTML code – this is easily teachable)

Social Media

  • Help promote Infonetics reports, analysts, events, videos, articles, etc. via Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.

Candidates must have:

  • 2 years of professional experience as an admin assistant or marketing assistant
  • BA or BS degree
  • Ability to manage and effectively prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Proficiency in or aptitude for Word, Outlook, Acrobat, Excel, HTML, XML, PPT
