WiMAX equipment market defies recession, jumps 12% in 2Q09

London, UNITED KINGDOM, August 27, 2009—Communications market research firm Infonetics Research released the second quarter (2Q09) edition of its WiMAX Equipment, Devices, and Subscribers market share and forecast report.

The overall WiMAX market sequentially grew 12% to $255 million in the second quarter, driven by revenue increases in all regions, most notably in the U.S. and India,” explains Richard Webb, Infonetics Research’s directing analyst for WiMAX, microwave, and mobile devices.
