Network security market up 7%, led by strong Cisco and Juniper sales

  • Cisco remains the revenue-leading vendor overall with 35% of total network security appliances and software in 3Q09 (up 1 point from 2Q09, reversing its share decline that started in 4Q08)
  • Juniper’s strong third quarter propelled it into second place for overall revenue, ahead of Check Point
  • Worldwide SSL VPN gateway revenue increased 13.5% sequentially in 3Q09
  • Worldwide IDS/IPS product revenue grew 11.7% sequentially in 3Q09
